The price of real estate in Richmond rose slightly in December, concluding an inconsistent year for the Greater Vancouver housing market. The Greater Vancouver residential housing market entered three distinctive phases in 2010. Continued buoyancy from the post-recession recovery began the year, followed by a summer lull and, throughout the fall, a sustained period of stability. In Richmond, the benchmark prices (an estimated sale price for a typical property in that market) for detached, attached, and apartment properties in Richmond were all up slightly in December 2010 from the same month the previous year.
